OLIVER LAU 劉君樂 HKSC

Oliver Lau studied Experimental Art and began his career in the Film and TV industry in the United States before returning to Hong Kong. Since then, he has worked as a cinematographer on both local and international feature films. His recent projects include serving as the cinematographer for director Jill Leung’s feature film Last Song for You, starring Ekin Cheng and Ian Chan, which earned a nomination for Best Cinematography at the 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards. 

He has contributed as B Camera Operator and 2nd Unit DP on major streaming productions, such as collaborating with James Friend, ASC, BSC, on Netflix’s original film Ballad of a Small Player, directed by Edward Berger and Hulu exclusive The Season.

Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin with extensive experience working with international crews, he adapts quickly to different production workflows and brings deep knowledge of Hong Kong filming locations, local crew dynamics, and the specialized equipment that work best in Hong Kong's fast-paced production environment. 

He has also delivered work for CNN and The New York Times and for brands including Google, Cathay Pacific, and Disneyland.

劉君樂於美國修讀實驗藝術及開始參與電影工作，返港後為各本地及國際電影擔任攝影指導。同時亦為Google、New York Times等國際企業及媒體拍攝廣告和紀錄片。其近期電影作品包括梁禮賢執導的《久別重逢》，並憑此電影獲提名第43屆香港電影金像獎最佳攝影。
